Biggest FOOT IN MOUTH case of 2005

The award clearly goes to:

GLENN MCGRATH before the Ashes: “I think I was saying 3-0 or 4-0 about 12 months ago, thinking there might be a bit of rain around. But with the weather as it is at the moment, I have to say 5-0.”

  1. CambournePat says:

McGrath wasn’t the only person to put his foot in his mouth, just the worst offender.

Hoggard insinuated that both McGrath and Warne were too old, just before they won the 1st test for their team and Ashley Giles was completely written off by the media after the 1st Test. But England’s unsung hero and second best all-rounder (he’s one of the few Test cricketers to take 100 wickets and score 1,000 runs) proved the doubters wrong!

Hoggard is a youngster and u can understand his cockiness…
but McGrath …was way too overconfident… hence I had to select Pigeon 🙂
