Ad Magnet: Largest Indian Ad Network

Ad Magnet has become the largest Indian Media property online reaching 18.5 Million Unique Visitors in India (basis comScore April 2010 data release). This means Ad Magnet’s publisher network reaches almost HALF of all Indian web users. If we include global properties, Ad Magnet is the 4th largest behind only Google, Yahoo & Tribal Fusion, all US based. Google was founded 13 years ago, Yahoo started even earlier, almost 15 years ago and Tribal Fusion is 9 years old. Ad Magnet in comparison was started just 2 YEARS ago! A phenomenal achievement. Ad Magnet is  funded by Sequoia Capital which has also been an early investor in Google, Yahoo, YouTube, Apple and Cisco amongst many path breaking  Silicon Valley companies.

iAd demo (Posted 12 April 2010):

Steve Jobs & Apple have completely turned mobile advertising upside down with the launch of Apple iAds. These have more impact than TV, look and sound better than TV, have more interaction and engagement. Very intuitive & consumer friendly. This is what ADS should be like. Not stupid boring text links or 15 secs interruption.

They are also App Developer friendly (users don’t have to leave the App if they browse the ad).
Apple says they will sell the ads and share 60% revenue with App Developers.

Overnight, Apple has made Google/Admob obsolete in the mobile space. The fact that iPhone 4 also has the word “Google” removed and replaced by the word “search”, clearly means Apple/Jobs don’t even want Google in the Apple iUniverse. As Jobs said, iPhone users search for Apps not search the web (as they do in desktops). In the battle for Mobile space between Google vs Apple, the clear winner is Apple.

AOL buys BEBO. Welcome to the Bubble 2.0

Time Warner seems to have done the SAME mistake TWICE.

First it wasted billions in buying AOL. And now Time Warner AOL has wasted hundreds of millions on Bebo…which is nothing but junk!

Bebo is so far behind Facebook, Myspace and even Orkut… that even a kindergarten kid would know that $850million is a ridiculous over evaluation of the site. AOL has paid 160 times EBITDA!!!!!

Will you pay $850 million for a company with reveneus of just $20million and EBITDA of just $5 million ???? Hell no!

I think its time for AOL shareholders to dump AOL shares before its too late.
